Microsoft Office365 and Patton Springs

All students and staff have full access to the Microsoft Office 365 service. This includes 1TB (1 terabyte = 1000 gigabytes (GB)) of online storage plus licensed download of Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 products on as many as 5 PC/Mac computers plus up to 5 devices including iPad, iPhone, and Android.     What do I need to do to start using Office365?
  1. Obtain your Microsoft Online login username and temporary password from your teacher.
  2. Use your web browser to go to login.microsoftonline.com.
  3. Login with the username and temporary password provided by your teacher.
  4. Upon initial login you will be prompted to choose a new strong password.
  5. Wait for the Office365 web service to fully load. Here is a samplescreenshot.
  6. Click the OneDrive icon and follow instructions for OneDrive activation. Takes several minutes. OneDrive is the webapp that facilitates your 1 terabyte of online storage.
  7. Congratulations - You have finished your initial setup of Office365.

    You will have 4 versions of MS Office apps at your disposal upon successful login.:
  • PC/Mac versions of MS Office Professional Plus 2013 to be installed on your home computer.
  • Office Mobile and OneDrive for Android phone.
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneDrive apps for iPad/iPhone/Android Tablet.
  • Web only versions of Word Online, Excel Online, PowerPoint Online, and OneNote Online.
